Three-view Tele | Now That’s Community

Sharp-1No doubt about it, Sharp are clever people. They’ve developed an LCD screen that shows 3 different images, depending on your viewpoint.

As Far East Gizmos put it, “these displays have allowed Sharp to once again create new demand and contribute to the creation of new lifestyles.”

Call me a grouch, but is part of that great new lifestyle everyone in the family being able to watch the same screen, but something different? Ahh… those great family evenings! McDonalds for one, KFC for another and curry for the kids. And let’s all sit down together and watch something different! Now that’s community 😉

[But wouldn’t we just LOVE one for alt.worship. Trinity meditation here we come…]

  1. So, uh, how does the sound work?

  2. Good point!
Wireless headphones, I guess. Individual fun for all the family ;-p

  3. It reminds me of that advert for something or other (at least the advertising didn’t work on me cos I can’t remember the product – but I think it is a mortgage where you can ‘share’ and all get an equal part of the house). Well, they all have moved in and settling down to their new life together. However, they all have different take-away meals delivered from far away take-away establishments. The delivery boys turn up (I think the is a hint of racism in there somewhere as well?) at the same time and each housemate tucks into a different meal. Is this really the world that people want to live in? It worries me! I give the housemates 2 years – at the most – before the whole thing goes belly up (so and so will sleep with so and so, whatchamacallit will leave the ketchup lid off for the 30th time, whojimaflip will have just one too many parties, etc etc). What is theworld comming to?

    Defender
    .
Still the ONLY game worth playing. And your alien ass would be mine any day on it, Mutant. 😉
