Precisely this. Capitalism loves the free movement of everything except the poor. Money must be free to move. The cheap labour that creates it must not. This, apparently, is what we mean by a ‘free market.’
I can’t help but think that this is a totally corrupt vision from Theresa May, one that will not for one minute benefit those who were hoodwinked into voting Leave. The free movement of capital without the free movement of people is one definition of colonisation, is an ideal based in ‘the empire.’ It is a country that wants to gather wealth, but not share the benefits of it. Disgusting and, I believe, ultimately short-sighted.
